Application Centre of Carl Zeiss in DKFZ
In cooperation with the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) Carl Zeiss MicroImaging founded the "Carl Zeiss Application Center" in the Heidelberg Technology Park in July 2007.
The new application lab plays a major role in the new and extended workshop program. Besides the "Advanced Microscopy Forum" that informs regularly about current topics in research, science and technical developments, the application lab serves as perfect environment for workshops and trainings. Participants of these events can improve their knowledge in the areas of digital, laser-scanning and virtual microscopy as well as micro dissection technologies.
The application lab is equipped with the following systems:
- Inverted microscope system for Live Cell and High-Speed Imaging (Cell Observer HS)
- Confocal Laser-Scanning Microscope
- 3D Imaging System based on an upright Axio Imager microscope plus ApoTome and LED fluorescence light source Colibri
- Fluorescence dissecting microscope SteREO Lumar.V12
