Science in Ulm

The renowned University of Ulm is home to a number of internationally recognized scientists that focus on the ontogeny and malignant transformation of the hematopoietic system. The Max-Eder group has been established in this setting and takes advantage of the „science in ulm“. Mainstays of the scientific environment are: 

  • nationally and internationally renowned large Clinical Departments for Adult and Pediatric Hematology, Nuclear Medicine and Transfusion Medicine, 
  • a number of Institutes within the Faculties like the Insitute of Pathology, Immunology, Physical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Neuroinformatics, Biophysics and Gene Therapy, 
  • unique biobanks in hematological diseases derived from patients entered into clinical trials, 
  • a recently established International Ph.D. Program in Molecular Medicine, 
  • a high degree of integration of the groups within research networks as well as international boards and committees and 
  • well established cooperations with academic partners and industry
