Frontiers in Cancer Research (FCR)

Extended life expectancy and essential changes in lifestyle have led to a continuous increase in cancer incidence in the past few decades with modern societies facing a major challenge. In a continuous exchange between excellent basic research as a driving force, interdisciplinary research approaches have unraveled mechanisms of cancer development and progression funneling into innovative translational activities from the bench to bedside.

The conference FRONTIERS in CANCER RESEARCH 2018 provides an overview of the most exciting fields of current, interdisciplinary cancer research. Internationally leading researchers will present their recent work in the fields of

• Stem cells and cancer
• Molecular mechanims
• Systems biology
• Tumor immunology
• Translational cancer research
• Cancer prevention

The meeting seeks to provide outstanding scientists a forum to present inspiring approaches and exciting results in cancer research. It is organized by the DKFZ Executive Women's Initiative, whose aim is to augment scientific excellence by promoting gender parity in all aspects of academic research.

Hope to see you at this exciting conference at the DKFZ in Heidelberg!
