The Transgenic Service provides investigators at the DKFZ with the mouse embryo manipulation technology in order to generate transgenic mice

The transgenic core services include:

• Consultation / Support with the planning of transgenic projects
• Pronuclear microinjection
• Microinjection of embryonic stem cells (ES-cells) into blastocysts
• Electroporation / Culture of embryonic stem cells
• Gene Targeting (collaborative service)
• Generation of ES cell lines from transgenic mice (collaborative service)
• Morula aggregation
• Lentivirus injection / incubation
• Embryo transfer (rederivation of mouse lines)
• Vasectomy
• Training in transgenic techniques
