The conference and meeting rooms of the DKFZ Communication Center (Im Neuenheimer Feld 280, 69120 Heidelberg) are also available for rent to external organizers, insofar as they are of a scientific, socio-political or cultural nature. The rooms are not available for ideological or partisan political events.
The following rooms offer flexible usage options and modern media technology in a high-quality environment.

Lecture hall

The large lecture hall is located on the first floor of the Communication Center and seats 268 people.
The lecture hall is air-conditioned and has state-of-the-art media technology. Among other things, there is a projector, sound system and microphones - there is also a grand piano, which can be hired if required.
Foyer

The foyer directly adjacent to the lecture hall is ideal for catering, receptions, industry and poster exhibitions.
In the center is a conference counter, which can be used as a registration desk.
It is possible to broadcast images and sound from the lecture hall under certain conditions using two large monitors.

Seminar rooms K1 and K2 are located on the first floor directly above the lecture hall and can be reached via a staircase or elevator from the foyer.
State-of-the-art media technology such as a projector, sound system and microphones as well as a discussion system are also available here.
The two seminar rooms can also be connected to form one large room by retracting the partition wall. They are also both air-conditioned.
There is also the option of video and audio transmission from the large lecture hall.
A smaller area for catering at high tables is available on the gallery directly in front of the seminar rooms.

Availability & price list:
To clarify in advance whether there is availability on your desired date, please send an e-mail to: koz@dkfz.de / Tel: 06221 42-4241. You will then also receive an equipment overview on request. You can find the current price list here.
Room application form & rental contract
To officially rent a room, you must first submit a room application.
After internal approval by the DKFZ Management Board, you will then receive a rental contract for signature. Once the rental contract has been signed, the reservation is confirmed.
Therefore, please do not start planning your event until the rental contract has been fully signed by both parties.
Please note that rooms can be reserved a maximum of 2 years in advance.
