The management department “infrastructure projects and operations management” serves as a link between the management board, scientific units and departments, as well as selected industrial partners.

1. Infrastructure projects
   The staff unit is responsible for the placement and the room planning of all units and buildings of the DKFZ and is the contact for new established departments. Further, we plan and support building projects and larger reconstruction processes. Other aspects of our work are interdisciplinary infrastructure projects, e.g. the conception of a central biorepository.
2. Project Management of the Strategic Alliance with Siemens Healthcare
   In 2006 a Strategic Alliance between the DKFZ and Siemens Healthcare in the research field “Imaging and Radiooncology” was established. Within this joint initiative, the staff unit serves as contact for scientists and industrial partners in all management-related issues. Our responsibilities include reporting, providing support for contract and cooperation negotiations as well as the organization of workshops and steering committee meetings.
