Tom Rix received his MRes degree in medical physics and biomedical engineering from the University College London in 2020 and his MSc degree in applied computer sciences from Heidelberg University in 2022. In his PhD he works on photoacoustic image synthesis with deep learning for highly realistic photoacoustic image simulations and quantitative photoacoustic imaging.

Tom co-organizes the seminar "Deep Learning in Medical Image Analysis". In his free time Tom is learning German Sign Language.
