Pascal Hansen completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at Paderborn University and his Master’s degree in Data and Computer Science at Heidelberg University. For his master’s thesis, conducted in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, he developed a task planner for autonomous robotic surgery.
His doctoral research focuses on vision-language models for surgical video understanding and their translation into clinically meaningful AI systems.
He welcomes collaborations and inquiries from students interested in projects within the group.
