Alexander Baumann is a PhD Student specializing in Spectral Imaging. He studied Mathematics at Technical University of Munich (Bachelor 2020, Master 2023) and focused on Deep Learning with medical applications during his Master's studies. His research tackles real-world challenges of Spectral Imaging, when deploying the image modality in hospitals. Therefore, he explores the potential of domain adaptation, light source calibration, and uncertainty estimation. In his free time, he likes going out with friends or doing sports such as Football or Volleyball.

  • Great knowledge about various medical image modalities like Spectral, Ultrasound and Microscopy Imaging
