- Epidemiology, Public Health, Prevention and Survivorship
Prof. Dr. Connie Hoe
The mission of this division is to accelerate the uptake of evidence into policy and practice in the field of cancer prevention. Through cutting-edge research and transdisciplinary collaborations, the division strives to improve public health outcomes by ensuring that evidence-based interventions are effectively delivered to all populations.
The Division for Policy and Implementation Research for Cancer Prevention was established on July 01, 2024. Our work is guided by theories, frameworks, and models from implementation science and health policy, with a strong emphasis on addressing health inequities and disparities. We utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including cross-national comparative studies, participatory approaches, geospatial analysis and advance data science techniques to tackle the complex challenges associated with the adoption and implementation of cancer prevention policies and interventions in Germany and globally, including in transnational contexts.
