Research for a life without cancer
At the DKFZ, we want to ensure that fewer people develop cancer, that cancer can be cured or treated so effectively that those affected can live with the disease and grow old with a good quality of life.
About DKFZ
Latest from DKFZ
A European research consortium led by the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) aims to fundamentally improve the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer using AI agents, big data, and patient-centered clinical decision support. The central goal is to detect aggressive tumors early and accurately, reduce unnecessary interventions, and tailor treatment decisions more closely to the individual patient. The European Commission is funding the “PROMETHEUS” consortium project with a total of four million euros over four years, of which 1.6 million euros will be allocated to the DKFZ.
