About DKFZ
Latest from DKFZ

A research team from the Heidelberg Medical Faculty, the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) has gained significant insights into the progression of the incurable cancer Multiple Myeloma, which primarily develops in the bone marrow: When the cancer cells break through the bone and multiply outside the bone marrow, a dangerous diversity of tumor cells arises, accompanied by a significantly altered immune response. The findings could be crucial for advancing diagnostics and personalized treatment.
