After completing my studies and doctoral research at Heidelberg University, supported by a Junior Career Fellowship from the Molecular Medicine Partnership Unit at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), I began my career as a resident physician and clinical scientist at the Heidelberg University Hospital, within the Department of Hematology, Oncology, and Rheumatology.
My scientific expertise is primarily focused on translational research in hematological malignancies, with particular emphasis on acute myeloid leukemia and multiple myeloma. I specialize in advanced cancer immunotherapies, such as CAR T cell therapies and antibody-drug conjugates, alongside the development of novel AI-driven approaches for clinical diagnostics and decision-making. My overarching goal is to design innovative, patient-centered solutions and to advance the clinical implementation of cutting-edge immunotherapeutic strategies.
Outside of work, I devote my time to astronomy and astrophotography and volunteer at the House of Astronomy in Heidelberg.
