Research group on prostate cancer
The research group concentrates on improving diagnostic imaging of prostate cancer.
We use methods of magnetic resonance for morphologic imaging, spectroscopy and contrast enhanced MRI.
The aim is to improve localization diagnostic and to differentiate between tumor and healthy tissue. In cases of extended tumors we search for better diagnostic of the surrounding tissue (infiltration of neighboring organs, lymphnodes, bone marrow).
We cooperate with the radiation therapy department for improving the planning of the radiation therapy.
