Muchandifunga (Trust) Muchadeyi is a doctoral researcher in health economics with a focus on primary prevention and early detection. His current research evaluates prostate specific antigen (PSA)-based, risk-adapted screening strategies for prostate cancer in Germany, using microsimulation modeling and cancer registry data in collaboration with the Karolinska Institute. He also developed a quality appraisal tool for studies deriving health state utility values to support more robust health economic modeling and HTA submissions.
Mr. Muchadeyi holds a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Health Economics from Umeå University in Sweden, supported by the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals. His previous work includes a cost-effectiveness analysis of introducing a malaria vaccine in Sub-Saharan Africa and an econometric study on out-of-pocket health expenditures in Tanzania.
He has a background in pharmacy and previously held leadership roles at Premier Services Pharmaceuticals in Zimbabwe, where he contributed to strategic growth and improved access to care. His work bridges economic evaluation, clinical research, and health policy, aiming to support sustainable and evidence-informed healthcare decisions.
