
About Felipe
Felipe was born and raised in Chile, where he studied medicine at the University of Chile. After working for several years as a physician in internal medicine and cardiology, he moved to Berlin to pursue a Master’s degree in Epidemiology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
He then joined the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, where he now works as a scientific coordinator in the Digital Cancer Prevention group led by Prof. Dr. Ângela Gonçalves and Prof. Dr. Klaus Maier-Hein. His work focuses on interdisciplinary research at the interface of clinical data, epidemiology, and predictive modeling for cancer prevention.
Outside of work, Felipe enjoys long-distance running and learning new languages.
