I studied Molecular Biotechnology at Heidelberg University as a scholar of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. Throughout my studies, I completed research stays at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg University Hospital, and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).
These experiences sparked my passion for immuno-oncology, which I am now pursuing with my PhD at the DKFZ, supported by a fellowship from the DKFZ International PhD program. My research focuses on T cells in hematological malignancies, aiming to understand the mechanisms that govern immune surveillance versus escape, and to translate these insights into novel T-cell therapies. I am also excited about harnessing synthetic immunology to boost the immune system in innovative ways.
Outside of science, I enjoy staying active through running, hiking, playing tennis or bouldering, and I play the piano and guitar. On summer days, you’ll often find me with friends at the Neckarwiese, soaking up the sun.
