Clinical Research Career Day

The DKFZ Clinical Research Career Day is a two-day event designed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to career opportunities in clinical research. The first day focuses on interactive workshops led by experienced professionals, allowing participants to explore specific areas in depth and gain practical insights. The second day features alumni speaker sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities, as well as recruitment and company presentations, helping attendees understand different career paths and connect with professionals and potential employers in the field.

Project Management Career Day

The Project Management Career Day is for everyone that is interested in managing complex projects, coordinating diverse teams, and steering large collaborations. Regardless of whether they were PhD students or postdocs, the participants could explore exciting career paths in project management at this event. Some highlights of the event were interactive workshops, engaging sessions, practical insights, and networking opportunities with DKFZ Alumni who have successfully transitioned their scientific background into impactful careers in project management across academia, industry, and beyond.

Career Days - Archiv
The Academic Afternoon took place on 28th February. The event was organised for (post)doctoral researchers and junior group leaders exploring what it takes to succeed in academia. Topics included faculty search committees, tenure track options, grant strategies, and career planning tips from DKFZ Alumni.
The participants could join panel discussions, round tables, and visit info booths with our DKFZ Grants Office, Cancer Research Academy (from Msc to Tenure), Career Service, Alumni Relations to get practical advice and expand their network.
