Yes. We expressly encourage physicians who are interested in future employment in our department to contact us early on. An expression of interest is initially non-binding and does not replace a formal application process.

Absolutely. A shadowing visit is a great way to get to know our team, our work methods, and our areas of specialization.
Can I combine clinical training with research?
Scientific work is an integral part of the DKFZ environment. Depending on your interests and the project, there are opportunities to participate in clinical and translational research projects as well as to pursue further scientific training.
Can I contact you even as a medical student?
Yes. Clinical rotations and medical dissertations offer excellent opportunities to get to know the Department of Radiology at the DKFZ while you’re still in medical school.
