I received my medical degree from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. After entering the field of oncology research for my doctoral thesis at the Experimental Leukemia and Lymphoma Research (ELLF) department in Munich, I undertook clinical rotations at the University of Chicago and Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Erasmus+). I have been happily working as a resident physician in the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the University Hospital of Heidelberg since 2021.
My scientific background is in oncogenic signalling in acute myeloid leukemia. Having witnessed the therapeutic potential of cellular and non-cellular immunotherapies in haematological malignancies on a daily basis in the clinic, I am fascinated by the prospect of enhancing these therapies to assist patients in overcoming relapse and aggressive disease.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, gardening, attending concerts and taking photos on my travels.
