About Ivana
Ivana studied Molecular Biology at the University of Zagreb and went on to earn her PhD at the University of Tübingen and the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology. During her PhD, she explored how miRNAs influence the tumor environment in liver cancer.
These days, her research looks at the “ticking” of the biological clock in the female reproductive system, and what factors can speed it up or slow it down, using state-of-the-art single-cell and spatial transcriptomics tools.
Outside of research, she loves swimming, revisiting her favorite novels, and spending time with her kids.
