David Schmidl - Postdoc
Acute myeloid leukemia, a certain type of blood cancer, is very aggressive, develops rapidly, and often shows resistance against chemotherapy. David’s research aims to understand how the RNA modification 1-methyladenosine (m1A) impacts these processes, which is currently unknown. Through investigating proteins involved in m1A metabolism, he wants to establish new drug targets to enable improved therapeutic opportunities for AML patients.
