Information for DKFZ Ph.D. Students

Once you arrive at the DKFZ to start your Ph.D. you should register as soon as possible with the Graduate Office by sending us an email.

You will then be invited to attend an introduction to the Helmholtz International Graduate School for Cancer Research, which usually take place on the first Monday of the month. At this meeting you will receive detailed information about the Program and the Credit Points system and what to do next.

The Student Portal is a website administered by DKFZ students and provides useful advise and information related to Ph.D. studies at the DKFZ.

THE DKFZ ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

All current and former DKFZ PhD students are invited to join DKFZ Alumni Association and participate in Alumni activities. These range from scientific conferences and events in Heidelberg, to local meetings of alumni around the world.
