from the Heidelberg Center for Personalized Oncology (DKFZ-HIPO)

When: October 25th, 2017, 4-8 pm

In 2011, the DKFZ has established the Heidelberg Center for Personalized Oncology (DKFZ-HIPO), which offers a program for personalized oncology with the aim to translate latest research and technologies from the "OMICs" fields and systems biology/medicine into clinical routine.

The second funding period HIPO2 started end of 2016 and mainly focuses on supporting projects that translate the exome, genome and transcriptome sequencing technologies into the clinical context.

The HIPO2 Symposium on Personalized Oncology focuses on personalized genome analysis efforts in Heidelberg.

Preliminary Program can be found here and includes

  • Confirmed guest speakers:
    Dr. Jan Korbel, EMBL Heidelberg;
    Prof. Dr. Reiner Siebert, University Hospital Ulm
    Prof. Dr. Wilko Weichert, Technical University Munich
  • Short TechTalk "Liquid Biopsies" (by Prof. Dr. Holger Sültmann, DKFZ Heidelberg)
  • Selected presentations of HIPO2 funded projects
  • Panel discussion: New "OMICs" strategies in Personalized Oncology

The detailed program will be published here by beginning of October 2017.

We hope that you will join us for the symposium and look forward to meet many of you in October.
