  Laboratory at the FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM) in Milan an
 d is a Full Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Milan. His
  primary research interest is in understanding the immune response in tumo
 rs. Author of over 80 articles in prestigious international journals\, inc
 luding Science\, Nature Immunology\, and Immunity\, he has received severa
 l recognitions\, including a European ERC grant to study the molecular bas
 is of immunosuppression mechanisms in tumors. In recent years\, his resear
 ch group has actively employed single-cell "omics" and "spatial-omics" tec
 hnologies to further investigate the tumor ecosystem. In 2018\, he founded
  the start-up CheckMab to develop new anti-cancer therapies.
