Steffen Bannert finished his trainee as a technician at the DKFZ in 2003. He joined our group 2005 after his social year which he spent as a medic at the Red Cross. Currently he is characterizing candidate genes involved in neuroblastoma progression and spontaneous tumour-regression. He is generating neuroblastoma cell lines that allow inducible expression of cDNAs or shRNAs for functional studies. Moreover, he established the plasmid- and the antibody- database, two essential components for our research.
