To gain insights into molecular mechanisms that render cancer cells resistant towards the induction of programmed cell death (apoptosis), we will examine pro- and antiapoptotic signalling in response to death receptor stimulation deciding over life and death.
We use genome-wide RNA interference screens, mass spectrometry and live cell imaging in order to identify novel pathway components following the activation of the death receptor CD95.
