To elucidate altered cellular decisions in cancer cells that contribute to tumour formation we will compare the dynamics of the JAK/STAT signalling pathway in normal versus malignant cells and upon inflammatory response.
Furthermore signalling pathways involving NF-kappaB and MAP kinase/AP1 will be addressed. Alterations of these pathways have been shown to be involved in the development of e.g. B-cell chronic lymphatic leukaemia (CLL) and Hodgkins lymphoma (HL).

Kinetic models including the stochiometry of pathway components will be developed based on quantitative time-resolved and spatio temporal data.
