Short Biography
Benjamin studied Molecular Medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg specializing on molecular cell biology, immunology, genetics, and pharmacology. For his diploma thesis he joined the Division of Molecular Immunology at the University Hospital Erlangen where he worked on posttranslational modifications of the KLF2 transcription factor in B lymphocytes under the supervision of Prof. Hans-Martin Jäck.
In September 2011, Benjamin joined the group as a Ph.D. student focusing on redox mechanisms involved in Toll-like receptor signaling.
