A major challenge in cancer cell biology is to understand the mechanisms how molecular processes as well as different cells function in interacting systems. Along these lines we study the interplay of cellular components to examine how they network in modules and systems, and how changes in these modules leads to cancer, metastasis and drug resistance.

  • Mechanisms of miRNA-control of cell signaling
  • Mechanisms of cancer cell migration and invasion
  • Mechanisms of Tumor - microenvironment interactions
  • Mechanisms of cancer drug resistance
  • Molecular Biology of Gastrointestinal Strumal Tumors
