Integrative Cell Biology
A major challenge in cancer cell biology is to understand how cells and molecular processes function and play together as systems. Therefore our studies focus on the interplay between different cellular components to examine how they create modules and systems, and how changes in these modules can lead to cancer, metastasis and drug resistance. In this line, the group members aim to find novel strategies of integrating experimental data and computational biology.
Current projects
- Drug resistance in breast cancer
- Tumor cell/microenvironment interactions
- Cell-cell adhesion in cancer progression
