High throughput experiments and screens typically result in large amounts of data and demand for standardized and automated analysis procedures. We develop customized software tools for data preprocessing, visualization and inference, utilizing state of the art statistical and computational methods (e.g. R and Bioconductor).
The modular structure of our software allows for the integration of data derived from different assays and data acquisition platforms. Our output is user-friendly and interactive html, and tables for automated import into database structures. We thus close the gap between raw data acquisition and data mining.
This topic exemplifies the benefits of strong and direct interactions between scientists working in the fields of experimental biology (e.g., Functional Profiling, RTK-signaling) and computer sciences.
