Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCE MRI)

With dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCE MRI) it is possible to visualize physiological processes. The distribution of a contrast agent is analyzed over time by imaging a volume at different points of time. DCE MRI delivers parameters for blood volume and vessel permeability. The calculation of these parameters according to the Brix model [1] and their representation as a parameter map is integrated into VIRTUOS [2].
In current projects the integration of functional parameters into a voxel classification for the automatic segmentation and characterization of tumor tissue is analyzed.
