Integration Platform Systems Medicine

Integration Platform Systems Medicine

In close collaboration between the participating centers, the iMed initiative will develop a systems medicine network that integrates high-throughput approaches using bioinformatics and systems biology approaches.

The iMed systems medicine platform develops bioinformatics pipelines for integrative data analysis of various complex omics-data types. These pipelines are complemented by computational models of cellular pathways. Importantly, despite the wide variety of diseases studied within iMed, the fundamental challenges in data analysis and reduction remain the same. Sharing expertise and knowledge across centers will therefore greatly help in addressing this challenge. The ultimate goal is to combine personalized diagnostics, systems medicine and targeted therapy to develop Personalized Medicine with clear benefits for the individual patient.
