What does the Welcome Team do ?

We, as the members of the welcome team, are committed to provide all the students wishing to apply for the PhD program at the german cancer research center with our advice and to help to give the selected PhD students a smooth start into their work and a good time at this scientific community.
Twice a year we organize a social event within the PhD program evaluation process not only to give an introduction into what else Heidelberg has to offer aside from science and benchwork. This should also be taken as an opportunity to get to know each other and meet “senior” PhD students from the house. For those that decide to do their PhD in our institution we organize a get together in order to share experience with equal and more advanced scientists.
We will be glad to answer all the questions, which may arise not only from those that are in or after the evaluation process but also those that are thinking about applying for the next round of the PhD program.
