Partners in the Helmholtz Alliance on Immunotherapy of Cancer

The Helmholtz Alliance Immunotherapy of Cancer was established in 2008. It is a centrally funded initiative of the Helmholtz Association and focuses on translating basic research findings in immunology into innovative strategies for immunodiagnosis and immunotherapy of cancer using a highly connected approach. The alliance establishes a network of immunology experts from basic research as well as from clinical research. The 21 groups involved come from four different Helmholtz Centers (German Cancer Research Center, DKFZ, Heidelberg; Max-Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine, MDC, Berlin; Helmholtz Center for Infection Science, HZI, Braunschweig; Helmholtz Zentrum München - German Research Centre for Environmental Health and from the local cooperating University Medical Centres (Heidelberg, Mannheim, Berlin, Hannover and Munich).
The coordinating center is the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) with Prof. Peter H. Krammer as the scientific coordinator.
